Moving Tips
Moving is known to be stressful, but there are few things you can do in order to have a relaxed, stress free moving experience. Some moving tips' guides will suggest that you should start planning way a head of your move, but it is not necessarily true because things do change if you start too early (like prices change according to season, gas prices, etc.), and that will make you work for nothing. There for, the recommended time to start checking about moving is approximately 2-3 months before the estimated moving date.
For most people prices are the most important issue when moving, but my tip to you is to first read about moving. Read about the different charging methods there are, read on how to choose the right company, what are the right questions to ask, and what you should prepare before calling moving companies. When you are ready to call, prepare a table so you can put in the details and can compare 'apples to apples'.
Moving tips regarding prices - A common mistake people do when they get a price is over looking the price per unit, and the small print, i.e guaranteed price – usually the price will sound to be higher then an estimate, which means that final price will be determine at the day of the move. Usually and estimate over the phone can be on actually 30% or more on the day of the move.
Other moving tips – Moving in the winter might be more cost affective, moving by yourself might be more expensive then you think, and you might consider selling some of your shipment and save on your moving cost, gaining new furniture for the same price of moving them.
