| How To Pack Books |
|
In order to pack box you will need:
It is a good idea to decide if you want to move with all the books you collected over time.
Do not tie the boxes with rope or a string, boxes may open and content spilled if they are not sealed properly. To prepare your box for packing arrange the books in pyramid shaped piles that way heavy and bigger books will go on the bottom of the box. If you do not have book boxes make sure that any box you use is strong enough to handle the weight of the books without tearing or breaking during the move. Pack several books either by laying them one on top of the other (in piles) or by arranging them on their side in either one or two rows. You can add another layer based on the weight of the box but do not over pack the boxes. It is important to take into consideration when preparing to pack your book collection that books are both delicate and heavy items. Do not pack your books into large boxes. This will create boxes that will be too heavy for the movers to handle with care and may result in the books getting bent, torn etc. We recommend to pack paperbacks and art books in separate boxes. Remember not to pack too many art books into a larger box as they are extremely heavy. Think of books in the same way as you think of fragile dishes, do not leave empty spaces inside the box and use white paper to fill in these empty spaces. If you have a comic book collection we recommend that all comic books will be packed in plastic covers that are sold in specialty comic book stores. Try to arrange your book collection in a way that will make it easy for you to unpack it in the new house with different subjects or book sizes in specific boxes.
