Moving Companies Packing

Should I use boxes to pack all my goods?

When it comes to packing our recommendation is to pack all that you can in boxes and try to avoid bags, duffle bags etc. This is especially true when it comes to long distance moves where your belongings can spend several days on the moving company's truck. Goods that are in boxes are safer, arrive in a better condition and make the move easier both for you and the moving company. Remember that bags can be easily torn and the goods inside them may get damaged of filthy. Packing all items in boxes will also allow you to clearly mark what each and every one of them contains which makes re-organizing in the new house easier for you. It is also highly recommended to empty all drawers, dresser-drawers, cabinet drawers etc. in your house and pack the contents in boxes. There are two reasons for emptying your drawers: some of the items may become too heavy for the movers to carry if they are not emptied and during transit the drawer hinges may get bent if they are full which will make opening and closing the drawers difficult once the move is done.

Remember, boxing up all your goods may seem like a lot of work but its well worth it.
